Catie anderson

Catie Anderson is a Missoula native, a descendant of homesteaders who settled near Big Timber in the 1800s. Catie is genuine and thoughtful and reflects the friendly demeanor that Montanans are known for. She particularly enjoys the focus and structure of hot yoga. She appreciates that sometimes just getting to your mat can be half the challenge. Once there, she loves to immerse in the little details and finally emerge refreshed.

As her interest and commitment grew over the past 10 years, sharing her enthusiasm with fellow students became a priority. Each day she finds something new in her practice. Catie completed her 200-hour hot yoga teacher training in June 2020.  She became an Inferno Hot Pilates instructor in January 2022.

When not teaching at the yoga studio, Catie is behind the scenes keeping things running smoothly. Outside of yoga Catie enjoys crafting pine needle baskets, caring for a large garden, and spending time with her husband Bruce.

Taylor Johnson

taylor johnson

Taylor is a life long native of Montana.  Born and raised in the  north central community of Conrad, she hails from 4th generation farm/ranch family.  Upon graduating from Conrad High School in 2011 she ventured to the east coast where she attended and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in “Business and Entrepreneurship ” from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.  It was there that she found a Bikram studio and fell in love with the hot room.  Although living on the East Coast and Seattle were valuable experiences, the pull back to Montana was too difficult to resist.  Following graduation from Brown in 2015, she came home and attended the Blewett School of Law at the University of Montana, Missoula.

Between years in law school, during the summer of 2017, Taylor attended her Hot Yoga Teacher Training in Puerto Morelos, Mexico.  She returned to Missoula and began teaching at our studio.

After law school, Taylor spent almost two years in Billings working for a law firm, but in 2020 she returned to Missoula to expand her legal practice in Western Montana.  She is extremely happy to be teaching in our studio again, and loves the Headwaters Hot Yoga community.  You can sweat it out to her teaching a traditional 26/2 or Blend class!

Beverly.jpg

beverly dupree

Originally from eastern North Carolina, Beverly has called Missoula home since 1996. After her first hot yoga class in 1999, she instantly became a devotee, recognizing the practice and all its pertinent metaphors for life. Following a 30-year career in public wild land conservation, Beverly leapt into the world of health and wellness, became certified as an EMT in 2018, and started teaching wilderness medicine soon thereafter.

In June 2020, Beverly graduated from Sterling Hot Yoga Works Teacher Training with a 200 RYT Teaching Certificate. She received an M.S. in Environmental Studies from the University of Montana and a B.A. in History from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

When she’s not teaching yoga, running the mobile testing unit for the Missoula City/County Health Department or writing copy for a jewelry designer, Beverly enjoys DJing at the local college radio station and getting her hands dirty with native plants in the garden. She is certain of two things: she will always explore wild places and she will always practice yoga.

Nancy.jpg

nancy taylor

Nancy is a 2020 graduate of the Sterling Hot Yoga Teacher Training, a 300-hour course based on the Ghosh lineage.  She is focused on creating a welcoming space for all abilities and bodies to have access to the mind, spirit, and body benefits of the Headwaters hot yoga practices, and the infinite opportunity to grow and learn from this practice.

Nancy felt deeply joyful from her very first hatha yoga class in the mid 1990’s and has been an enthusiastic practitioner since that time.  When she is not outside enjoying nature, she is probably practicing yoga.  In addition to studying and practicing the Ghosh lineage, she has benefitted from the teachings based on Iyengar, Ashtanga, Ananda, Anusara and other lesser-defined limbs of hatha yoga.

Nancy is married to Bill, has two young adult children, and is a retired civil engineer.

jilnar mansour

Jilnar began as a student at Be Yoga Andersonville 6 years ago seeking a way to strengthen her mind and body for her stressful career in Mergers & Acquisitions. She is originally from Lansing, MI and has moved all around the country landing in Darby, MT Spring 2022. Jilnar describes her journey on her mat and with Yoga as transformative, “in the beginning I saw it as resistance training, if I could make it through my 90, I could make it through anything.” The transformation came when she discovered Yoga was a choice and that she had all the strength that she needed; there was no need to resist. Jilnar was ready for a full transition and knew that embracing a life of yoga would help her to fulfill her journey; meeting her Mind, Body, and Spirit. After being laid-off Jilnar began to focus on self-care, traveled the nation, and focused on her practice. Jilnar teaches from a place of authenticity and care and looks to continue to grow and focus on using Yoga to heal trauma and create space in communities for the elimination of generational violence.
